Protests continue in the United States against the death of black George Floyd
Demonstrations across the United States continue for the ninth day in a row over the death of black citizen George Floyd at the hands of white police officers. Despite curfews in 40 cities, protesters ignored restrictions in many places.
Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Friday, removing hundreds of protesters by a truck while Sixteen hundred troops have been deployed in the capital, Washington DC, to assist the police.
In addition to clashes between protesters and police in various cities, police and military personnel in several cities have also expressed solidarity with the protesters.
