Google has announced that it is scrapping plans to make Toronto a smart city in Canada due to the uncertain economic situation created by Corona.

Google’s sister firm Sidewalk Labs and Waterfront Toronto have been working together for many years to make Toronto a digital city.

Sidewalk chief executive Dan Daktroff said the lockdown had created an unusual situation for Corona, in such a situation, it was difficult to complete the 12-acre project without removing the basic parts.

He hoped that the ideas developed over the past two and a half years would help to solve the problems of the big city, it will also be cheaper and more stable.

Stephen Diamond, chairman of the Waterfront Toronto, said it was not the result he had hoped for, but he thanked the sidewalk for its vision and efforts.
